My brother wants to get a freshwater pufferfish but we can't find any information on them. Does anyone have this information?

Check out this site www.dwarfpuffers.com . I think this is a great site on FW dwarfpuffers. I have a 10g tank set up in my bedroom for them but I'm at the end of my fishless cycle and also waiting for my pet store to get some in.. This site has been a BIG help...

Figure 8 puffers are brackish water; GSPs, which are not T. fluviatilis but T nigroviridis, and are BW to SW. T. fluviatilis is the Ceylon puffer, also BW to SW, larger and gentler than the GSP.

There are many true FW puffers. The dwarf puffer is certainly not the only one.

Go to:

http://puffer.proboards2.com/index.cgi

On the General forum there you will find a partial list of FW and BW puffers.

We're trying to have all threads related to puffers located in the BW forum, including the FW puffers.

Thank you. I thought these were brackish water but I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the info. I'll pass it along.
