I saw in this addres: http://www.aquariacentral.com/species/db.cgi?db=fresh&uid=default&ID=0443&view_records=1

a picture of a POTAMOTRYGON LATICEPS, that I remeberd to have seen somewhere before.

Here http://jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu/~mlt2/fisholdp.html I found the same fish and is called POTAMOTRYGON RETICULATA, as I have knows this species of stingray.

Also, in my sig there is a link to a picture of one of my stingrays, which I believe is a reticulata.

If anyone knows something about this confusion, I'd be really glad to know about it.

Thanks in advance.

In a private massage, OrionGirl told me exactly that about the inaccuracy of some of the profiles.

Fortunately, I just ordered online my 2nd FW stingray book that might show some light in the road.

However, Freshy Rays are not completely stuidied, and they also are a very varied group, which can be though to identify. i just read that sometimes, 2 rays that look somewhat alike are from different species, and 2 totally different specimens can be from the same species.

Looks like I have some research ahead.
