Must I use gelatin? Can anyone think of a reason why I couldn't use pectin? I have a kind that is vegetable based and does not require sugar to set. I would like to try making my own fish food, but would prefer not to use gelatin (factory farm thing). I already make my own dog food, so I have many of the more obscure ingredients (liquid vitamins, what germ, spirulina, probiotics, would they like nutritional yeast?), and I've found a bunch of recipes, so.. I guess it's just the gelatin thing.
