Gel-Tek Users?

Hello,

I went to my LFS and saw a line of products by Aquarium Products called Gel-Tek. The two that particularly caught my eye were the Ultra Cure BX and Ultra Cure PX, does any one have experience using these? Comments on using them? Would you recommend these products?

Any and all input on these would be really appreciated.
 
Medicated foods for fish.. I find it hard to get the fish to eat all or any of the gels you drop in the tank. Imo, it's not all that great, IME, but you can use it as a soak on fish food.
 
i tryed these two years ago, i was given a couple of each kind. the fish dont even notice the gelition blobs in the water. the gel doesnt seem to interest them at all.

in order for the med gel-teks to work the fish must eat them.
 
They were on sale at a LFS two bucks each, seemed like a good deal but i didnt want to but a product i hadnt used before so I came on here, and it seems its two big thumbs down. Maybe thats why they were on sale?
 
Yeah, I had no luck with the stuff myself. Trying to soak food in it is messy and even then I think too little gets injested to do any good.
 
Us puffer keeps really like them because they are safe to use on scaleless fish. I soak the frozen food in this for at least 20 minutes prior to feeding (use the med instead of water or vitamins like usual). Flake food or other delicate foods might not work so well since it will cause the food to sink. Make sure the expiration dates are current, however!
