What would a good feeding schedule be for two juvenile blue rams? i have been feeding flakes in the morning and either bloodworms, brine shrimp or daphnia in the evening. When they eat the flakes, they do this chew, spit, chew, spit thing with the food. Does this mean they don't like it? Or is it just there way of eating? Thanks for any help you can give.

They might not like the flakes - ask the lfs what they fed them. If you really want them to learn to eat the flakes, keep feeding them they way you are doing. Eventually they will get hungry enough to eat them. Otherwise, try something else - New Life Cichlid pellets...

I had a german blue ram at one point in time, and he wouldnt eat flakes at all. I had better luck with brine shrimp.
and I don't know if you know this or not, but when you buy your german blue rams, be sure to ask if they were imported from Asia. Asian rams tend to be a little more difficult, and more than likely end up dying after a few months, because they inject hormones into them to make them appear more colorful and bright.
well good luck with your rams =)

I got the rams from a LFS. The dealer said they came from a florida breeder. i will get some cichlid pellets to supplement the live foods they are getting. Not sure on their exact age but the dealer said the two i bought had been in his tanks for almost three weeks. i would say they are a little over a 1" long. Hard to tell still whether i got a male and female or two of the same sex.
