my fish all seem to be "in the mood" --

I have a 75g, which I set up ths summer and have recently stocked up with an Oscar, 2 Blue-eyed cichlids, some Silver Dollars I had for a while and one ever growing common plec.

Much to my surprise, the blue-eyes have made themselves a nest and are guarding their eggs ferociously. Now my silver dollars are either having seizures near the bottom of the tank while swimming together, or they are mating. This is all in a couple of days.

Have I hit some magic formula with the water quality or temp? or is it just coincidental that this is all happening at once.

What am i going to do if I end up with a bunch of fry? (other than oscar food?)

Can you mix different fry in one "fry-tank?"

PS. I also have new fry in my new guppy tank.

Interesting, did this come on right after a water change? I know my platies seem to get frisky right after a water change, maybe because the water is slightly cooler, or fresher, who knows... it's very cool though! I bet that the fry would be ok all mixed together in one tank... I don't know much about oscars / cichlids, but unless one type of fry is much larger than another, yeah, you'd be ok... keep us updated!
