Hi all I am new to AC and just about ready to get my clown loaches. I have a 90 gal and the last 3 days my Ammonia has been 0, my Nitrites have been 0 and my nitrates are between 20-40. I am very excited to get clowns and have done research, and read that they are very sensitive. I was wondering if it would be a good time for me to get them? Going through the CYCLE is killing me :-) hehe!!!

:welcome: to AC!

Can't wait for your pics.:) If you are sure those water parameters have been the same for a few days, then you can get them. What test kit do you use?

Lupin, I use API testing kits for Ammonia, Nitrates, Nitrites and PH. I am planing on getting 6 Clown Loaches!! Once I get them, and they are comfortable I will post some pics.

thanks a bunch for your imput Lupin. I am looking forward to being a Clown Loach owner!!!!!

Question & a pic of my tank

We are ready to get our Clown Loaches. We found some that were 1.5 - 2 inches. They are really lively and some were even relaxing on their sides. Think this size, since they are active and look good would be ok? Also wondered what your opinion is on the setup of our tank? Anything need changing? Thanks for the imput.

With the problem we just had with one of our Gourami's (in Thread "has anyone every seen a Dwarf Gourami get this fat") We were waiting a week or so to make sure we did not have anymore problems. We are planning on getting them this weekend if all goes well. Right as soon as I get them I will take some pics and post them here.
