I have a 55 gal community tank with all very friendly fishes (platys, neon tetras, glo-lite tetras, danios and corys). Everyone gets along just fine. I also keep Ghost shrimp and amano shrimp because I like to watch them.
When fry are born I don't remove them from the tank but I supply lots of hiding places for them to escape to if they can. Nature takes it's course here. Anyway..... I noticed a very young fry the other day. I am guessing platy, I called my wife over and we were watching him and one of my ghost shrimp did a very fast movement and the next thing we know is the fry's tail is hanging from his mouth
. I never suspected that this can happen and wouldn't have believed it unless I saw it. It was sad and amazing at the same time.
No question, just sharing.
