IN my 55 gallon i currently have a auratus a yellow top for a decent size had him for 2 years and a rather large blue zebra, there used to be lots more but i hd to move them as the zebra likes to kill almost everyone .

the tank is kinda boring with only 3 fish so i'm thinking i should get a large fish of some sort probably a cichlid and I dont know what sounds good maybe a green terror? i duno
any ideas would be excellent
thanks

First of All, the africans in the tank and the Green terror don't enjoy the same water conditions, (not to mention that they might kill each other as well) so I certainly hope you aren't planning on having the africans and the Green terror in the same tank.

Large Cichlid possibilites:
(you'd have to empty out your tank for these guys)

Jaguar Cichlid
Uaru (as difficult as discus to keep)
Jack Dempsies
The Malawi Eye-Biter
The traditional Oscar
And of Course,
your Green Terror

Also, if you wanted to keep the current fish in the tank, you could also try some larger Mbuna that could handle the Zebra, as well as some Synodontis Catfish

green terror would not go good in the tank because it is fom a different place ion the word and the water conditions would be too different, i dont reccomend it. but you could go with some other large mbuna and maybe some syno. like GOBYGUY says.

maybe go over toi cichlid forum and ask the question and you'll get better results.

Why don't you just go with more of what you have already? Pick out a few that have some size to them already, and change around the decor before you throw them in. I'd try to have about 2 hiding spots for each fish, minimum. Give them some natural terrain barriers to separate territories also. Hope all goes well for you!

good idea Sumpin'fishy that is also an option.
