glass catfish compatibility

We're wondering about glass catfish compatibility.

We have:

1 - bristlenose pleco
6 - silvertip tetra

We're looking at getting:

4 - emerald cories
4 - panda cories
6 - bleeding heart tetra
3- bolivian rams

We're curious if the glass catfish will work with this community or not?

depends how big is the tank?

glass catfish do not do well with nippy or active fish like silvertip tetras.

glass catfish also need to be in large groups; otherwise they will waste away

I had a common pleco (glass catfish) he worked well in my comunity tank but he doesnt really keep the place clean like lfs tell you, he poops alot... and depending on type, can grow pretty big. i never had a "group" and mine thrived to a mega 6inches in about 6months..i unforunatly did not have the tank space or knowledge he could grow to 18 inches in length. he was re homed last week

Thanks guys. We've decided against the glass catfish.

Tank is a 55g tall by the way... It's 30" wide, by about 18" deep, and 25" tall.

We'll nix the glass catfish, and probably scale down to 2 bolivians, and pick up an angelfish. Thoughts on that?
