speaking of 10 gallons, my friend's 10g tank gave way just a few days ago
he was surprised because it didn't have signs of leaking, there was a crack at the bottom..

when he saw it there was no water already and his flower horn frys were already dried up

If the crack is as bad as you say, dont even bother repairing it.

go buy a new tank. even with a repair it wont be as strong, durable or resiliant as an un cracked pane. Do you really want 10gallons of water on the floor along with the gravel, wood, plants and most worryingly the livestock?

your hermit crab needs a 10 gallon tank anyway, and at least 2 friends.

he also needs a solid lid on his tank and at least 80% relative humidity or he will slowly suffocate to death. hermit crabs are very social and will get lonely and depressed without a friend.

visit www.hermit-crabs.com and www.hermitcrabassociation.com for lots of good info.

oops, here's an update from 2005. . . . i broke that tank down, totally forgot it had a crack in it until i found this old thread, and sold it to someone last summer for $20 with a cheap whisper filter. hahahahaha.

I think you need to check your surface you put the tank on to make sure it's not uneven and causing cracks to form.

lol, read the last post.

I think you have too much time on your hands to dig up all your old threads! LOL :lipssealedsmilie:
Seriously, I am finding them to be very uselful info!
