That's one fierce looking swordtail! He looks like he could give my cichlids a run for their money.

lol he's been in with cichlids his whole life. Included a 10" crenicichla saxatilis pike. Maybe that's where he got his "edge" from. The only cichlid in my place he never bunked with was my 9 female Hoplachus psittacus. That fish was a killer 
Really? I was under the impression the psittacus were very mild mannered cichlids, easily bullied. I hope to do a tank of them in the future.
Cichlids are always cichlids. Every now and again you get one that is nuts. She would stay still, lights out, fish dead, lights on in the same spot. That evil "I ain't do it.." look on her face. I will do a tank of them again one day though. I was considering a pair in my 300 gallon along with a group of Acarichthys heckelii.
^ couldn't agree more. The 3rd smallest mbuna in my 80g is now the dominant male. Granted it's a kenyi and stuck on agro 80% of the time.
