Hi I need a little advise to know am doing the right thing for my fish. I noticed my glo light tetra was losing buoyancy swimming upside down at times thinking this is swimbladder disease the fish has no obvious external disease. I removed it from my 36 gallon bow tank and put it in my 3.5 L small tank and added approx 1/2 teaspoon of aquarium salt. I want to see if this works before adding any meds and I am fasting the fish as well. I know you can add peas for the fish to eat but wondering how long to fast the fish before adding the pea? Also how often should I do a water change & add salt and how much since I already added 1/2 teaspoon? Thanks for any help much appreciated.

I would opt for Epsom salt, it often helps with swim bladder issues. Plain, no scents, oils, or dyes added. Just plain magnesium sulfate. Same ratio as aquarium salt.
