I finally found a Golden Mystery Snail. I hadnt seen any on my LFS's for a long time. I asked the guy at the store if the snails I was looking at were Apple Snails and he said No, they are Golden Mystery Snails and that they could not sell Apple Snails anymore? I thought the Golden Mystery Snails were just color variation of an Apple Snail. Am I wrong. Anyway I am glad I finally found it whatever it is. I think they are beautiful.

You are correct. Golden Mystery snails are pomacea bridgesii/diffusa, one of hundreds of species of apple snails. the ones he is probably referring to are pomacea canaliculata which are banned from sale/transport because they eat plants.

I have about 15 gorgeous baby golds that need homes!

ugh.... I don't want to hear this...:headshake2:
I sold my snails and u have the most beautiful colors, those yellow ones were my fav. ones, I noticed that one of the babies has a small strip on it's side where it's magenta striped but that is it, the rest is a sparkling pearl yellow! cute (I am keeping that 1)
