Okay, how many of you put your tiny exotic goldfish in with your mollies/platy population (no salt added to the tank...don't need it.) ?

If you do, how is it possible since goldfish are of the "coldwater variety"?

If you don't, why not?? And yes, we all know they poop about as much as our ADF's..dirty little buggers they is. :p

ADF"S poop a lot? My molly poops a lot, but not adf's.
I'd never consider the combination. Like sticking a lizard in the artic....or a polar bear in a rain forrest. Why?

Let me rephrase that...

Goldfish...are compatible with my mollies. Are compatible with my platys. Neither have tried to consume the other...they have existed quite nicely together, in other words.

Question:

Goldfish need a lower temp. Tropical livebearer, higher temp. Goldfish in tank with tropical temps...shorter lifespan?

ADF comment = sarcasm.

Thanks... :o

The low seventies range is good for gold fish and most livebearers. Just don't set the temperature too high. You'll be fine.

I did not think "tiny" goldfish existed!?!?! I asked the question somewhere if any goldfish stayed relatively small and I believe I was told the smallest ones still get to be at least 8 inches. I would like to keep some in the future, but I am not ready to build a pond yet!!! :)

They is but de bebbies still. Er, the babies...I meant.

When you try and sound funny by writing, it just comes out ALL wrong. I know this...read original post.
