Yep. Goldfish for science projects. At Lake Youngs Elementrey. Where I used to go before we moved... and they are using comets in tiny bowls, feeding them nothing, and never cleaning out their bowls. Lets see how long that lasts. Man, and then after their little science investigation is done you know what they do? If they don't take them home the fish get flushed down the toilet. I agreed to take one after the project is done, their only small comets so it shouldnt be a problem, I'm having one of my friends take one for me after its done until I get to her house to take it home. Shes taking one home too. The kids are talking about taking them home and putting them in plastic cups!! If I was there I would have NONE OF THAT...
Anyone want some comets? I could take a few and maybe ship a few. I'm not paying for anything though.

God this makes me flame :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

DEAD SERIOUS. THE TEACHER WAS ASKED. SHOULD I CALL THE PRINCIBAL AND ASK/COMPLAIN ABOUT IT?

Maybe you should rescue them ALL. They can share tanks with your bettas since they're only 'small' comets.

Have you signed your friends up for a picket-sign protest at the school yet?

All like..60 of them? There are quite a few 6th grade classes you know, and I only have one tank I could have comets in, if nobody wants a few, Im afraid I wont be able to take more than a few :(
No. Didnt even think of that.

unless its a project that isnt gonna hurt them..... which this case is compleatly different

Being kept in a tiny cup that isnt being cleaned, and be fed nothing, is considered hurting them to me.
