Goldfish..poor shape

I have this goldfish, he is orange and black and he’s a great little guy. Not aggressive to other fish whatsoever. I got him and I had him in a 2.9 gallon and I am trying to rehome him now because he doesn’t do well in the 2.9 gallon or the 10 gallon I have him in now. He floats to the top, but in bigger tanks without fish that pick on him he would do great. Is anyone interested in adopting him? I know he is supposed to be in a 55+ gallon tank. If anyone is interested in adopting him please PM me.

Sorry to hear that. I recently found out how missinformed I was. I had 3 fancy goldfish in a 5g. I scraped up about $360 and got a 55g and all the works. If I had the room I would take him. Mabye you could find something to sell, like an old bike or something, to get money for a new tank. If worst comes to worst you can try to give him to the pet store. I would do everything to try to keep him first.
 
Thank you, I love him so much. But really want the best for him.

Being a fancy goldfish he'd be ok alone in a 15-20 gallon if you were up to par about the water quality. Even better would be him and another fancy in a 29-40 gallon setup. Please don't tell me you are giving him up because you don't have room for a 55 gallon aquarium. He's a beautiful fish.
 
We have 9 tanks in this house, you're darn right we don't have room for a 50 gallon tank ;)! We cannot afford yet another $300 tank, either.
I know he's a beautiful fish, but I think he'd be better off somewhere where he won't be picked on. I don't have a tank that I can put him in where he will not get is little fins plucked.
One of my friends - Sarah is probably taking him.

5BM hasn't been on for months... maybe you should try looking up new threads, instead of the old ones where you probably won't get a reply ;)
