any help would be great and thanks in advance

my golden has a red dot in between his eyes...it's been there for a while.
and it is a golden not a chinese..same family different fish.

and mine is about three inches, im told the do get very aggressive with smallerr fish so b-careful
they will grow to 1'

Our golden has about 6 or 8 red dots on his head, and they're a little protrusive instead of being flush with the rest of his head. They've been there for ages, and I'm pretty sure it's perfectly normal. He's about 5 inches now and while not actually agressive, he's certainly getting more assertive as he ages!

As for feeding, I would suggest keeping up with both shrimp pellets and algae wafers, and maybe also boiling some zucchini slices or lettuce every few days and dropping it in.

I have a chinese alge eater with the same sort of bumps. I don't know if this helps, but they are yellow. Mabey it is something to do with their species or being yellow. I don't know
