Hey all,
I am new to planted aquariums and i am going to start one :nilly:. I have a cycled ninety gallon tank. I was looking through plants and two plants i want to try are the onion plant and pygmy swordplant. I might also have anubias for on my driftwood. Can anyone help me make a "stock list" of plants.
Thanks,
Tom

Pretty good link if you are wondering what kind of plants you are able to keep or want to stay away from until you get your green thumb going.

It mostly depends on the set-up you want to have. Adding fertilizers and CO2 changes your capabilities on what you are wanting to stock your tank with. Would definetly recomend fertilizers no matter the set-up. They allow for a wide variety and great results.

Anubis is good and easy to grow as well as java fern. They are pretty much stick in and watch them grow with no care at all. I have found swords to be easier to grow for me and eye catching.

Thanks :) . Co2 injection is not a problem and i already have all the ferts I will ever need. :)

Unless you are at about 140 -180 watts co2 probably isn't necessary. How much light do you have over your tank? What is the tank depth?
