Just wanted to share the following used items I bought yesterday:

125 gallon perfecto- $25.00
75 gallon perfecto with (crappy hood/lights)- $ 25.00
4 Fluval 403's - free
various aristones, hoses, 300 watt heaters- free
new filter media (sponges, ceramic biomedia) - free

The tanks are dirty but there are no scratches. I know perfecto isnt top of the line but I think I got a really good deal.

Does anyone know much about Fluval 403's? I was thinking of getting a brand new Rena Filstar XP3 and using one of the fluvals as a second filter for the 75.

Well I am a craigslist nerd and I guess my nerdiness paid off, I found a guy in Hunterdon county who needed to get rid of ALL his fish accessories. Said he was innundated with emails but for some reason nobody ever showed up for the tanks.

Now all i need is a nice wood stand for this 75. The 125 will be cleaned and stored away.

Yes, craigslist can be a beautiful thing...I am also a bit of a freecycle nerd myself. I am bummed I miss that one though!! Good find!

I dont know how top of the line perfecto is but the have the best warrenty. 20 years on my 90 gallon cant beat that all glass was only 3

oH i SAW THAT LISTING ON CRAIGLIST. I was gonna go for it, till I found out it was too far. Glad someone on this forum got it. Great find! I am so jealous.

yea it was in the middle of nowhere pretty much, guy lives on a farm and raises chickens. There were some old metal stands that came with it too but I am going to buy a nice wooden stand for them.
