I have either a 25 gallon or 30 gallon tank at this moment. I measured it to be 25.some more numbers, but the person from the lfs told my mom it was 30 gallons. Whatever, not that much of a difference. Anyway, I don't have a job or anything, but whenever I keep asking my dad to get new fish he doesn't. Wanna know why? Because there's a freakin' Bala in there. Suprisingly, he's doing extremely good and not hitting the glass with his head. He's also accompanied by his two best friends who are Black Tetras. I was wondering, though, what fish would do nicely in a 30 gallon (I'll use this) together because since it's my B-Day, I can exchange these and get different one's. Please help! Thanks.

What are you looking for? Cichlids? Anatibids? Characins?

Gotta know what you like first. ;)

I was hoping you can tell me something in general. I don't want cichlids in this tank. Hopefully, I can get a Managuense or a Red Devil one day when I have a bigger tank, but until then, I'd like stuff in general. I asked this question a while ago and some said Gourami's, Cory Cats, etc., but I'd like more input.

Do you get it now?

Dude, a Bala Shark will easily out grow that tank. It can get to be a little over a foot long. They are very active and like tobe in groups. They should also be kept with large fast fish, like tin foils and silver dollars. I would definitly exchange it and get a school of something like tiger barbs. Also, a few cories and a small pleco-Clown- would be nice.
