Nice Low-tech Plants For You!

FIVE Rosette Sword (Echinodorus parviflorus 'Tropica'), $2 each. These are nice little plants. Take all five for $9.

Here's another one, a Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Tropica' rooted in a Tank Planter. I have THREE just like this one, yours for $4.50. Take all three for $12. These specimens are still smallish, but they will grow bigger. You could probably keep them in their planters for years if you just add a bit of fertilizer to the planter cup from time to time.

This is a C. wendtii 'Green' rooted in a Tank Planter. I have just ONE of these, also yours for $4.50.

Shipping via USPS Priority Mail starts at $5.50. With additional charges for very many plants, insulated shipping boxes and heat packs.

Thanks. I sent a PM over at TPT.

Most of the crypts are pending sale and probably all gone. I still have TWO rosette swords.

~~New Selection~~

I have EIGHT dwarf hairgrass (Eleocharis acicularis) in pots and in pretty good shape for $3 each. Take all 8 for $20. You can get many itsy-bitsy divisions from each of these and plant up a whole grassy foreground with them.

I will take all of the first 3 items listed if still available. Everything except the hairgrass. Let me know.

NEW SELECTIONS! 27 November 2010

THREE Cryptocoryne balansae like this one, yours for $4 each. Take all three for $10. C. balansae is a nice plant. They have a beautiful color of green, grow into large robust plants and they do well in hard water.

For your High-humidity Riparium ONE Cryptocoryne pontederiifolia established in a riparium planter for $13. This plant has one large shoot and one smaller shoot. I prefer to keep this one in its planter.

C. pontederiifolia is pretty easy to bloom and gets these nice yellow spathes.

Here is another great riparium selection, Cryptocoryne usteriana established in a riparium planter, yours for $16. I started this one months ago as a tiny little sprout and now it is growing strong. I prefer to sell this one in its planter too.

C. usteriana is also pretty easy to bloom and gets these wild red & yellow spathes.

Thanks for the interest everybody!

Everything in post #6 right above has sold.

I will have more offerings on the way. I have a half-dozen or so real nice 'Marble Queen' swords that I need to sell.

Everything above has sold.

But I have THREE robust, good-sized (~7") 'Marble Queen' swords at $2.50 each.

NEW SELECTIONS! 4 December 2010

TWO Aponogeton established in Tank Planters $8 each. These are nice plants with long (36"+) olive-green leaves. This is an excellent low-tech selection that will add a lot of foliage to your tank. You can probably keep them growing in their planters for a long time, although they may occassionally enter dormancy, as Aponogeton sometimes do. These plants are also developing a few little adventitious plantlets on their stalks. I'll include a small pack of extra nutrient pellets that you can add to the planter occasionally to keep the plant well-fed.

ONE Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Mi Oya' well-established in a Tank Planter for $8. Another great low-tech selection, you can probably keep this plant in its planter for years. 'Mi Oya' has good-sized leaves that are coppery-brown above and rosy-pink on the underside. I'll include a small pack of extra nutrient pellets that you can add to the planter occasionally to keep the plant well-fed.

THREE Echinodorus cordifolius 'Marble Queen'. Two of these specimens are like this one and $2.50 each, while the third is a bit smaller and $2. This is another pretty easy plant. When grown underwater the white variegation is more subtle.

ONE Cryptocoryne wendtii 'Florida Sunset' established in a riparium planter for $11. I can also knock it out of the planter and send it bare-root for $6. This plant has not demonstrated any of the striking pink + orange variegation that I had when I bought it, but maybe you can get it to develop again. To encourage the variegation you might have the best chances growing it emersed, so it might be wise to just keep it in its planter.

MORE NEW SELECTIONS ON THE WAY SOON!

Here is a quick shot of that Aponogeton set up with some crypts in a vase.

Those Tank Planters make it easy to manage plants in simple low-tech setups like this one. You can remove the plants with ease and clean the whole thing.
