I was just cleaning and doing a water change when I noticed a light green type of slime ( I don't know if slime would be the correct terminology here) on just the suction cups that are holding the heaters and the output nozzle for my Fluval. Would anybody have an idea to what it is. Should I clean it off or leave it.

It's probably the first signs of alage in your tank. Just clean it off. Do you have any algae eaters? Depending on the size of your tank, you should either get a Otto (for small tanks < 50 Gallons, get one per 10 G) or a pleco (tanks > 50 Gallons, one will do for nearly any tank size up to hundreds of gallons) Pleco will nibble on plants though, so please be careful! Good luck! You may be noticing the signs of a soon-to-come algae outbreak. If it begins to spread, or become more apparent in the tank, amke sure to come back and ask mroe questions! We'll be happy to help!
