Good tankmates for corydoras

Hello all. I have recently stocked my tank with what I believe are 6 corydoras aeneus. I say this because they were described by the LFS store attendant as green corys, however, from what I can tell they are simply a "green" variant of corydoras aeneus (or bronze cory). My guys look like the ones in this picture at: http://zierfischfreund.de/Fische/Welse/3_img/corydoras aeneus.jpg

When I got the corys in the 38g tank I introduced my 2 female platies from my small tank, however, they very quickly began harassing/chasing the small catfish. This was a no no in my books and I really do not want my corys to have to put up with belligerent platies. It also occured to me that the platies are prone to spending time foraging in the substrate where, of course, the corys also like to hang out. The platies were soon returned to the small tank where they are unable to harass the corys. This left me wondering, what would be a good fish to add with the corys? I was thinking some peaceful tetras (not neons or cards) but I'm not sure which ones will meet the requirements of being not too demading and not too agressive. Serpae tetras sound like bad candidate (prone to aggression), as do red eyed tetras (same deal). Flame tetras look like they might work but I have never kept these so I'm a little bit leery.

Any suggestions for really docile fish to cohabitate with my cories?

Tetras will work great. I have some with mine and they don't bother the corys a bit. I've kept a barb with corys and they got munched pretty bad.

Basically you should be ok with any fish that isn't territorial or overly aggressive. I say territorial because they will completely obliviously enter unfriendly territory and then get picked on, and they don't know why. They are really not very smart fish, but they have no defenses other than their spiky fins, so you've got to keep an eye out for them.

My Yoyo loach chases my corys sometimes, but never nips or hurts them, so they may not be the best candidate, but not the worst.

I find mostly that cories ignore other species and other species ignor them in general. My dojo loaches sometimes even school with the cories, back and forth and up and down. They are quite similiar in habits.

What kind of tetras did you have?

I am thinking that the platies were just checking out the new additions to the tank. IME platies are peaceful and generally good community tank inhabitants. As a kid I had cories and platies together along with tetras and such and I had no aggression problems. I have seen new additions get chased on many occasions (many different species), and have never seen it result in injury. The chasing is generally more out of curiousity than anything else (of course, I am speaking of peaceful community-type fish here) and subsides within a short amount of time.

Cories should be fine with any peaceful, non-territorial fish that won't attempt to eat them. In my girlfriend's tank, she has a dwarf gourami, harlequin rasboras, and guppies for instance - none of which bother her cories.

I've had the following tetras with my cories(most have died, or vacated):

-Lamp eye tetras
-Black tetras
-Lemon tetras
-Neon tetras

none chased/bit/bothered any of my corys.

I have Harlequin Rasboras with mine and I do not think they know each other exists because one stays low and the other stays high.
My guppies do not bother the Cories and swim all over the place.
I also have two Blue Rams but they tend to stay low in the tank.

I have 4 corys and I also have 4 mollies wich are great tankmates in my tank. The mollies dont seem to bother them at all even when the corys swin up in the tank and mollies just ignor them and go on abobt their bussiness. Watch the fry though I havent left them in there but for a day till I moved my fry so i dont know how the corys will do with them but all in all I think corys are great with mollies.
