GoogleTalk

I heard about that. I think is good for them to try it, but It wont catch on. Everybody who chats uses aim, so unless they can make googleTalk compatable with AIM, nobody will use it.

I think if the quality of voice chat is good it will stand a good chance, not including what they may seek to include for the future.

I don't like aim but msn messenger is awesome. I don't think that google's thing will catch on though.

If your looking for a "do all" IM client then go with GAIM. It supports AIM, ICQ, Yahoo!, MSN, Jabber, IRC, Napster, Gadu-Gadu, Zephyr, and SILC. Its a great solution since its network independent.

Matt

PS -- Google Talk uses the Jabber protocol in case you were wondering.......

GAIM is nice, but i really only enjoy it in linux. For windows i would rather use trillian which i used to use. I give google a big :thm: for this program but it has alot of development to under go before i would consider downloading it. I have never used MSN Messenger or Yahoo or ICQ. I'll just stick with AIM in the meantime, cause everyone i know is only on there.

There are a lot of Google worshippers. Half the people I know(including myself) have google as their home page.

And how many hours have already been wasted on Google Earth around the world? About a trillion man hours.

I'll download it. I'll switch to Google Mail. I'll install every program they put out.

Sigh....:bowing: google.
