I am fixing to make a 10 gallon sump for my 30 gallon tank. I currently have a coralife super skimmer hanging on the back of my tank but will put in in my 10 gallon sump when I get it all together, my question is will I be able to set my skimmer in the sump?

I don't know. But I would check the manufacturer's book/instructions if you have one, or call the manufacturer and check with them. Also check with the people you bought it from to see if they have an answer or possibly a modification.

yes you would, the super skimmers are designed to be in sump or HOB. The only real thing that makes them in sump is they are wide enough to sit on without falling over. you will just have to adjust the skimmer height with something like an eggcrate shelf to get it at the right water level depending on the depth.
