I'm thinking about a single jaguar as large dislay fish,
for my new tank,
anybody keep these beauty's?
if you do, put up a pic, of it in its tank,

cheers :)

I have had this pair of Jag for the last year or so. The male is about 9 in. and the female is about 7. They are ready to spawn for the 1st time.
I love them. Their personalities are great. You should have them. 75 gal for 1 and 125 gal for a pair.

I named this fellow 'Monster' and the fish certainly lived up to the name. Jags are my favorite aquarium fish. Great personalities. You won't have a fish, you'll have a pet!

8 days after the female started laying eggs.
The parents are guarding and tending for their young ... days and night.

^ Congrats! I was thinking about breeding my Jag in the past. I'm actually surprised he's never bred with my female Loisellei since they are in the same genus.

I've got a small jag in my 100g with my tiger oscar. So far they are getting along great, despite the huge size difference (jag was just big enough not to get eaten when I got him). I call my oscar "oscar" (I know creative right) and my jaguar "de la hoya" Like the boxer, kinda like a jack dempsy, who's named after a boxer...

Its funny to me anyways.:hitting:
