I finally got my new lighting system in. 250 watt 20K XM Metal Halide, 65 watt PC actinic, and 32 watt PC actinic, and a Night Viewing Light that attaches to the Mogul Socket. I will try and get pictures of this up along with DIY hood. I can't wait to get this set up and be able to actually add some inverts next month.

I did have a stocking question though currently I am 4 months post cycle with hermits, snails, a sand sifting star, a hitch hiker crab of some sort that survived the cycle, and a single red hawk fish.

I plan to have the red hawk fish and a mandarin goby that I will try to add Q4 this year once the tank has been running about a year. I wanted to also have a pair of marroon clowns with gold stripes in the tank. Would these 4 fish be to much for the tank? Also can I add the marroon clowns before the madarin or should they be the last fish and added next year?

Any comments or other stocking ideas welcome, including invert reccomendations.

I have light envy :D

You really seem to be doing things just right, better than I did with my first reef. Your stocking plan sounds very nice for a 55.

Can't wait to see some pictures (hint hint;))

mogurnda,

I try to move as prudently as possible, the problem is that I do not always know exactly what the right move is. Fortunaltly though this community is very willing to help those that are here to actually learn.
