Got my new tank! :D

i agree with ballyhoo, angels can be very aggressive and would rip a bolivian ram to shreds, tho they are cichlids they have the temperament of a semi aggressive tropical. I used to have an angel in my 20 and she was miserable once she grew. stick to dwarf cichlids or some other fish

angels pair well with Bolivian or Blue rams..
both blue Rams and Bolivian Rams will hold their ground with an Angel
I've kept them in tanks for years together..I would recommend tho that you get a 29 minimum for an angel.
while an angel can live in a 20 they are generally used as breeding tanks for angel Pairs..angels will swim and use an entire tank so more swimming room is better
Angels are more conspecific aggressive(aggressive to other angels)

I agree that a 29 is the min size for angels in a community tank. 20g H tanks for breeder pairs is common and works but anything smaller and the fins will end up distorted. Medium to large angels will chase and eat small fry (up to 1/2 inch) like month-old guppies or platies (speaking from experience). Once the fish gets past that 1/2 inch size, the angels will leave them alone unless breeding.

Glad to hear you scored a good deal on your tank setup. I've been lucky enough to get two 55g tanks & stands off of Craigslist for less than $80 each.
