Without better photots, I am going to say planaria or some kind of detritus worm.

Are you suplemental feeding? How often? have you ever done a good deep gravel vac?

If your shrimp are not dying and you do not see them being attacked by these worms, then its really only your preference on letting them stay or not. If you are feeding, stop. Do a deep gravel vac, stir that gunk up, and WC the bulk out. Increase the volume and frequency of your WCs...50% every other day isn't going to hurt your shrimp.

If that doesn't work, look at fenben....OTC dog dewormer. Small doses are usually death for the worms and not harmful to shrimp or snails.

Looks like you aren't vacuuming as well as you should, failing to do frequent water changes and overfeeding. Any of those will allow for the formation of these. You don't need meds to get rid of them, just removal of their food. They are a form of nematode and show up when any of the above mentioned actions (or lack of them) occur.

+1 I agree with everything said here. I had a minor problem with them, I ended up just feeding them to my loaches and they LOVED it. My endlers had fun chasing them around. I keep endlers with my RCS whom I am breeding which will eat these planaria. They aren't harmful to your shrimp or snails, but as everyone said, don't feed as much and do a good gravel vac to suck those guys out.
