That's right guys and gals I finally bought my upgrade for the scratched 40 long..I will never use black sand again :mad2:

This tank is going to have a DIY foam/rock wall..here is the progress so far, I should have it filled with water this week and do the livestock transfer

Here she is empty..but purdy to look at

Tunze in tank filter

after great stuff applcation

here it is in the tank after epoxy and sand were added

here is the second piece...

here is how it fits together to look like one piece

The right corner is left open for a live rock pile and the fuge sits behind it

my fuge area under the Tunze filter..I ordered a 10w hologen submersible light and a rio 50 for flow in there

the right side is painted because it will be next to a wall

what do ya guys think?

Wow... what a creative idea! I've seen this done many times in FW but never for a reef tank. I love how you've hidden the in-tank filter; you'll end up with such a clean look.

BTW- I'm drooling over my mental picture of how the rock wall will look once it's covered in coralline!

I did'nt know you could put "Great stuff" in a tank. Doe's it not leach out toxins? Other than that, it is badass!
