gourami miss match?

today i bought a male opaline gourami and a female pearl gourami, bad idea?
they are in a 30g tank with plenty of plants for cover and subdued lighting
can they inbreed? will the opaline kill the pearl? they are behaving now because they are new :Angel:
the male is 4" the female is about 3"

I'm not sure. I don't think it would be a problem if they are the same size and in a big enough tank.
