I was wondering what type of gravel everyone uses for their cories. Right now, I have a sort of tiny pea gravel in my tank, but it seems a little bit big for my cories to dig around in. To remedy that, I put a small dish in the tank with fine sand in it so that they can dig around there when I feed them.

Do people use Fluorite with their cories in a planted tank? How does that work as far as size? If I ever get a 55 gallon tank for plants and cories, I want to start the right way.

That seems to be my quandry, optix. Sand fine enough to keep the cories happy, but large enough to have a deeper substrate for plants. There must be something out there? Or maybe I will have to divide the bottom out between plants and sandy areas.
