Gravel Level

use as much as you want. the more you use, the more debris can get stuck in it, and the more cleaning you'll have to do every week.

for a 46 gallon bow front i calculated 55lbs of gravel for a 2 inch depth based on 83lbs per cubic foot where 7lbs is a square foot 1 inch thick

Wow....what I would do is start small and add as you go.

just get a 50lb bag and call it a day. The generally rule i seem to see over and over is 1.5 lbs to a gallon, i usually do my calcs and then the 1.5lb to a gallon and find the median of it

maybe post pics when you are done and let us know how much you used - that way it can be used as a good reference in the future.
