Hey L&G's.

Here's the thought. I have a 250 gallon with 1 silver arowana and 1 common pleco. What gravel/sand should I use? I honestly do not know what's a good natural habitat setting for the silver arowana tank. I was thinking about spectra stones or something;what do you folks think about sand..? Aquatic plant substrates?

I want low maintenance, I don't want to be digging, shoveling, and sucking for fecal matter with a gravel tube... :lipssealedsmilie: It would take a lot of time, and I don't exactly have a lot of time for maintenance lol

I'm also thinking about doing a rockscape and driftwood scape, along with some aquatic plants here and there I currently have in my planted tanks (hygrophila sp. polysper., cabomba)

Any ideas where to start off well?

I can only make a suggestion towards substrate,
black gravel like, .5 - 1.0mm, could be less, is what i use in all my tanks,
(oscars, jardini, mixed large cichlids) I just keep a thin layer of it and its easy to maintain.
might be different for other, more expirienced hands,
just thought i might be able to help.
