Hey everybody, I have a 2 week old 29 gallon tank now, it has .25 ammonia, 0 nitrite 0 nitrate and a ph of 7.0 that has been stable.

4 days ago the water started to cloud, ammonia was at .25 and everything else 0. Now the water has increasingly gotten cloudier and I recently did a 25% change and the water in my buckets was green. So I'm having an algae bloom.

Is this typical of the nitrogen cycle? Should I just let it run it's course and wait it out, or should I use polyester in the filter and do a water change or two to clear the water again? I don't want to slow the process.

I have a whisper 30 with a bio bag & black media in the filter. Any suggestions?

I cant help ya but il bump ya up the list, hey people stop messing around with Prans stupid posts and get back to talking about proper fish keeping again and start helping people that ask for it. :spam:

Well that was a pretty pointless post wasn't it.
Look i'm not a 100% sure but it sounds like to me that its an algae bloom, free floating algae and i like you can get something to put in the water from your LFS hope this helps.
