Hi everyone!

I have a question about Green Fire Tetras. I had four in my tank but two of them passed away over the night.

I currently have a ten gallon tank that is heated and filtered. I have a betta (non aggressive, extremely passive), two rock shrimp and two Green Fire Tetras.

I've had all of them for over a month, except the shrimp, which have been added two weeks ago.

I know that tetras need at least groups of four/five or more to feel comfortable. Will my Green Fire tetras school with other types of tetras? I'm just waiting to hear back from my local fish store to see if they have more in stock.

I really appreciate any advice!

No they really need their own species. Also 4 or 5 is not enough, that's not a group but 2 pairs ;-) a school starts at about 8 or something.
Is the tank cycled, have you checked ammonia and nitrite?

It all seems good! All the other fish/shrimp are happy and energetic.

Thank you very much for replying! I'm heading out to my local fish store to buy more Green Fires to add, I'll be sure to pick up more so they have a little school.
