What is the max size for a male and Female GT? I've heard many different things from 6"-13". Thanks.

There are about 6 different cichlds passed off under the common name green terror. The most commonly found in LFS is bred in thailand. Males top out at about 8 inches and females about 6 inches. Depending on the species or what it has been bred with there are cichlids that are sold as green terrors that have reach a overall length of 15 inches, but this is very, very rare.

Average size is 8-10 inches, but they grow very slowly after about 5 inches or so, so large green terrors are rare. Mine is a little over a year old and around 6-7 inches now, although he spent a good portion of his life in a 30 gallon tank.

max size around 12-15" with life long pristine water conditions and a large tank. (75g+)
normal max size is around 8-10" cause they are notrmally kept in smaller tanks less than 55g and not the greatest water conditions.

Awesome man, I really like your site, hands on experience from someone who knows what they are talking about (16 years is alot of experience) with perfect detail and instruction, just what I've been looking for, and if you are the one taking those pictures. Wow. I was thoroughly impressed. Be looking forward to your upgrades to the site, I've got it saved to my favorites :)

A great site to say the least. I really enjoyed the pictures and the detail you put in to the site, not to mention all the instructions you provided with the various species. Congratulations on a great website, and fantastic tanks.

Nice site. You take some great pictures too.

Only one little mistake I noticed. Your great white shark is a tiger shark in the picture ;)

Have you had any bad compatablity issues with any of your tank busters?
