Greenish tint to water

I setup a new 37 gallon recently, and it's heavily planted. It's already through the ammonia cycle and looks to have peaked on the nitrites.

However, my tank now looks to have a greenish tint. Could it be the lighting and green plants with the blue background? Its very slight, and I doubt that algae would hit that quickly. I think it may be related to the plantings.. the majority of which were planted yesterday.

I'm using Eco Complete so it may have fogged up the water...

Any advice?

Take a sample of the water in a clear glass and put it up next to a white sheet of paper and bright light, if the water is still a greenish tint then you have an algae bloom.

Algae blooms are caused by excess nutrients in the water and compounded by bright lights. Did you add any fertilizers after you planted your tank? If you did, cut back until you see your plants grow. Once the plants start growing, they'll take care of the green water eventually. If the water gets worse, a temporary solution is to use a diatom filter, UV sterilizer, or a blackout period of 3-5 days where you deprive the entire tank of all light.

If the water turns out to be just cloudy, it'll settle after a day or two.

It's gotten a little better. Yes, i did add fertilizer...
I think it was more to do with planting so many at once.. perhaps enough of the plants broke off and tinted the water? Perhaps there was something on them.... aglae? i don't know. But if it was an algae bloom, it happend in 2 hours from NOTHING.

Algae spores are pretty much in every water source and can piggy back off of plants. If given enough light and nutrients, they can become a noticeable problem. If the water is improving, then you probably have nothing to worry about. Green water usually isn't a problem in heavily planted tanks once the plants become established, unless there is a large increase in excess nutrients.
