growth speed on trimac

This is one of the only cichlids that can grow faster then a oscar. I have had males go from 2 to 3 inches to 12 in about one year or less. trimacs are very large cichlid (deep wide bodies) so their mass and weight is much higher then that of other comparable length cichlids. They do require very powerful mechanical filtration due to there eating habbits and high waste production.
