So about 6 weeks ago we bought a 22litre tropical fish tank and we bought two glow light tetras and two platy and all the fish got along really well. Now today we got two male guppies who have now started bullying one of the platys. We’ve tried quarantining the fish but it didn’t work. Any ideas on how to make it less aggressive/get on with the platy?

What do you see that you are describing as bullying? And what do you mean by 'quarantined', since this all seems to have happened within 24 hours?

The guppies were chasing the platy around the tank but the platy seems to be uncomfortable and hides around a lot when before they didn’t.
As we didn’t have a spare tank we took a net and kept it in the tank with the guppies in it (maybe not the best)

Fish have heirarchies as well. But, the issue is likely that you have male guppies and platies look enough like a female guppy that the guppies are trying to spawn with it. Not much you can do to stop it.

That's what I was going to say, male guppies will try to mate with any fish that swims slow enough & is kind of similar in some way. They're not that fussy, lol.
