guppy questions...

i know there's a forum somewhere about this but i cant find it. Anyway just wondering about how I should prepare my fishtank (10 gal) for my guppy...I think shes pregnate.... shes fat...had baby fry about 2 1/2 weeks ago....

second question how 2 care for fry...all died but one... and its tiny....

oh and when they are born will they get sucked up in filter

move them to seporate tank or breeder box, they Eat small small flake food, dont have them near your intake for your filter...they will die..

Theres my 10gallon guppy tank. The fry just swim everywhere or in the hornwort. The others don't eat them. I dunno why but my guppies are weird and don't eat their fry. I used to crush up Nutrafin sinking shrimp pellets for them but now i'm lazy and sometimes I just throw in some Hikari small black pellets or brine shrimp flakes by ocean nutrition.

I've never removed my fry or females or males or anything and they all turn out fine. I've got about maybe 60+fry swimming around my tank right now and they do fine. Oh and i'm using a marineland filter (the smallest one) and my filter intake is big enough to suck fry in but they've never been sucked in.

If you are worried about the filter you can put some sponge or nylon over the intake.
