One of my more active guppies, is just laying along the bottom like his tail is hurt.. but from what I can tell it's not damaged at all. He moves around the bottom, eats and seems very active, just not swimming. He looks bloated, not like when they eat too much, he's just all puffy looking, which is very weird since I missed a day of feeding because I was away, but that shouldn't have been bad for him right? He has been like this for a couple days now. He just acts like he can't get his tail working. None of the other fish are acting strange at all.
I did recently change tanks, but that was over a week ago. Maybe he is just getting old? I've had him full grown since January.

Anyways if anyone has any idea as to why, I'd appreciate it :)

Thanks!

Water Readings?

Also, did you use the same water when switching tanks, or did you just fill the other up and temp match it?

How did you acclimate, etc.

When I changed tanks, I used most all the same sand and water, about 30% of the water was new. I had to hurry because I was moving and the other tank got broken mid-move. I let the tank sit over night to get the sand to settle and filter.
I haven't unpacked the water testing kit, (never let others help you pack >_>) and the temperature is ok.
The other fish are thriving and being normal, I would think if the water wasn't good they would be acting the same?
I think maybe I should do a small water change?

Find that test kit ASAP, and I would do a PWC yes (30-50% IMO).

As for all of the fish acting the same, that may seem to make sense, but if it is a water quality, your stressed/weaker fish will feel the effects and be more susceptible to the shock.

You mentioned sand, that could be another source to cause poor water. Sand is generally uncirculated, and when you dumped it in it exposed a lot of trapped areas previously kept under the surface.

This would be my gut-response to these symptoms as these are usually associated with high readings IME 9 times out of 10.

K i'll do a water change, and when I transfered the sand I gave it a really good mixing.

Thanks for the help :)
Would the water quality explain his strange bloatyness?
