This is my tank as it is now. The H. Difformis is going nuts, accounting for nearly half the plant mass in there. It likes to send runners along the bottom, putting up a stem from each node. The result was sort of a bright green lawn.

There is also some L. repens doing well left of center. Some hydrocotle and a crypt right of center. On the driftwood is some java moss and a small type of java fern, while under the hornwart on the left is a giant java fern and large anubias. There are a few smallish swords in the back too.

I will probably have to trim the difformis back to give some of the other plants a chance to catch up, but it and the hornwart are my best algaebusters. Since the algae has just started a tactical retreat I don't want to mess up the balance of things. I added 4 SAE today from albany aquarium, hopefully that will be the straw that breaks the algae's back.

I'm sure you've seen this b4, but if you snip the runners of your H. difformis so you have many individual plants, you can replant them close together for a bush appearance. Looks really neat if you use stems of varying height.
