well i went to go feed my female betta and the puffer and i noticed something white around her .. and dragging .. i though wow she has a long poop .. umm nope it wasnt .. upon further investigation it was thread we had used to tie to a rock to anchor plants down when we first got them .. well she somehow found it and swam right through it .. it was all the way up to her gills .. she was fine but we had to get it off somehow ..so i got her by the net brught her up out of the water and my husband with a pair of scissors and me pulling the string up a lil he was able to snip it and i pulle the string off from around her .. she is fine and no injuries .. but sure scared the chitt out of us ..
so the moral of the story is watch them threads if ya use them ..makes a nice circle for them to try and swim through .. she really explores the tank swims in this, swims through that ..

glad to hear she is doing allright!

I wonder how long will it take until someone blames it on the string not being purple. :thud:

Really, glad to hear that! Nice move, there. BTW, in the General chit chat forum is a link to a surgeon test, if you mind playing it.

 if it was purple it may have blended in  :p:
it was hubby that did the emergency surgery :p: i suplied the bedding and the forceps .. :p: he did the cutting and the anesthesia :dive: :dive:
boy what a team we are ..  ;)
