a customer of mine just gave me a fluval 303. its filthy. it looks like it hasnt ran in years, he also never cleaned it when he was done using it. to make a long story short. the motor is stuck in its housing. is there some technique to gettin it out ? does it just pull strait out like the newer fluval models? iv tried soaking it in hot water with no luck so i tried vinegar no luck with that either. is this thing even worth fixing, are new parts and media even available for these models.
thanks for your time

Same thing happened to one I got handed down with a 55gal, my dad(a fishGOD) said it really wasnt worth the use because by the time it came out it would probly be pretty damaged and most likely expensive to fix. So me bein who i am didnt think twice and went and got a way expensive canister (I bet more$ than I would have spent on that fluval repair) but I never really looked into it, just took his advice as a great excuse to buy something!!!!

Hi. I'm in the market for older model fluval 303 & 403 filters. I haved used them through the years, and found them to be quite reliable. Hit me up if anyone happens to have any laying around.

Thanks!

My experience is they are junk in this shape. I had a similar condition 404 that I cleaned up. When I turned it on, it leaked out of the top. Not the o-ring between the top and the canister, but the actual top. Junk it!

id play with it and see if you can fix it if not your not out anything just some time.
