I have to confess that I "cheated" and had to look those up. I don't have the Irish

I spent 5 years studying Scots Gaelic before I found out, via tracing my mother's family roots, that we were actually from Ireland and not Scotland. You'd think mom's maiden name of "Kelly" would have tipped me off sooner, but she was from Glasgow and there's lots of Irish -- old and new -- there. Heh.

I'm still studying it and Irish is so close to Gaelic that once you know one, it's really easy to pick up the other.

I would love to enjoy today, I even got off work early. But I got off early cuz I gotta get up at 3:00 in the AM to drive to Oregon so I can work all blasted weekend. I am allowing myself ONE mickeys grenade in celabration (Ok I know its not really from Ireland, but the name fits and its green and on sale for the holliday). and Ill be in bed by 8:00, as long as all the sirens and music dont keep me up.

That stinks. If I was over 21 I'd drink one for ya'.
