Yeah very cool, thanks. When I don't stay up till 6:30 playing video games I know that high pH is alkaline.

So why are there no electronic kH or alkalinity testers out there? Can it be deduced from ORP or something? The shades on the scale for my test strips are too similar.
That is because KH is basically a titration, destroying the buffer/alkalinity with acid - when you are adding drops using the liquid test kits (Tetra is cheap, easy, amd accurate), counting drops is easy and straightforward. Impregnated paper tests strips are too inaccurate to bother.
