I'm out of town on business and my wife phones to tell me that a couple of Harlequins are acting strange. 2 of them have separated themselves from the group and are hanging out on 1 side of the tank (red leaf plants are on this side of the tank?). The smaller of the 2 chases away the others when they come near. They don't bother any of the other fish in the tank just the other rasbora.
They also look healthy, eating fine and fins not clamped. My first thought is that maybe a little romance is going on but I've not seen this with my Harlequins before so was just wondering if that is typical breeding behaviour?
I also know that breeding these can be tough and I haven't been trying to get them to breed. However, I've always got some kind of fry poping up in the tank. I think the latest are a few Ram fry...
