I am very interested in buying some dwarf puffers from www.azgardens.com.

They will not tell you shipping cost, until they have processed the order.

I was wondering if anyone on AC has had any experience buying from azgardens.com

Thanks in advance!

I have bought fish, plants and inverts from AAG on 2 or 3 different occasions, and have never had a problem. And they have changed their shipper, so their costs are a lot less than they used to be. I believe if you call them and ask they will give you a guesstimate, and it seems to be in line with the rest of the online suppliers. In fact, I am looking at some red nosed shrimp and some cory hastatus from them right now. Good luck.

That place is poison to your sanity. Better off finding your goods elsewhere. There is a long thread somewhere around here about them. They will try and make you sound like an idiot for their mistakes.

I'd suggest you look elsewhere as well. They have one of my most notorious reputations among fishkeepers.

The problems I have had from them include never responding to emails, not sending the order, sending an incomplete order and sending the wrong species. Avoid.

I will never use them again. I can't even look at their website without wanting to throw my computer out the window. They won't give you a firm shipping cost until after they've already taken the money out of your credit card and put the package containing the dead fish in the mail. I wish I could go around randomly taking $40 from people without going to jail.

Most decent local fish stores will order fish special for you and they don't charge for shipping. Dwarf puffers should cost you $2-$5 and they are very common. I see healthy ones at Petsmart all the time.

Their webpage plays music without me asking it to. I'll never return to them just for that.

i got charged shipping. then i got charged shipping. then i checked my balance on the prepaid visa i bought just to take the venture with them. i had been charged shipping again and there was only $6 left. they got $210 just shipping out of me on a $60 maybe $90 order. then i started getting emails because they couldn't process the shipping charges.

i figured at this point they'd ship me replacements for doa's. they wouldn't return my emails. i scrambled and got their number and called. i was left on hold several times to be hung up on. the first seemingly helpful person i talked to was rude and short with me. he told me "i'll see what i can do for you"... and hung up. the next time i talked to a "manager" who told me he would refund the excess shipping charges and in doing so he'll reimburse me for doa's. well that never happened either. any resistance since then has been futile.

these guys are not recommended by me if you're shipping. i don't know what they're like in person.

that's my experience with them. that's all i can say.
